Where the Fageralm lies
The Fageralm is the local mountain of Forstau, a high valley between Radstadt and Schladming in the SalzburgerLand region. Its ski area belongs to the Schladming-Dachstein region within Ski amadé.
Our village of 27 chalets sits at 950 metres on the edge of Forstau, right next to the Fageralm ski slope: you can walk from your chalet to the ski lift, and the terraces look out to the Dachstein. The Fageralmbahn valley station is in the village, and you can reach the Reiteralm in about 5 minutes.
The village is accessible by car all year round. Forstau has a village shop for the essentials, and the Restaurant Unterreith is at the valley station. To see what it looks like inside, take a look at the chalets on the Fageralm.
